Visit the California Structural Pest Control Board website and search by company name or license number. Every licensed operator has a public record showing license status, branch classification, and any disciplinary history. Our license number is #PR7791 — you can verify it directly. If a company can't provide a license number on the spot, that's a red flag.
What's the difference between a termite specialist and a general pest control company?
A termite specialist holds a Branch 3 structural pest control license and focuses exclusively on wood-destroying organisms — drywood termites, subterranean termites, dampwood termites, wood-boring beetles, and fungal wood decay. A general pest control company holds a Branch 2 license and handles rodents, ants, cockroaches, bed bugs, and other household pests.
The key question is whether termite work is a company's primary focus or a side service. Ultimate Termite is Branch 3 only — we don't do general pest control, so every inspection and recommendation comes from a termite specialist.
Should I get more than one termite bid?
Yes — getting at least two or three written estimates is one of the best things a homeowner can do. Termidor soil barriers are priced by linear feet of foundation. Orange oil is priced by number of injection points.
We don't quote prices over the phone because an accurate estimate requires an on-site inspection. Any company that gives a firm number without seeing your property is guessing.
What should a written termite estimate include?
A complete estimate should list the species identified, the treatment method recommended, the specific areas to be treated, the total price with no hidden fees, the warranty terms and duration, and the company's California SPCB license number.
